The AI application knowledge and skills sharing program in Kon Tum, organized by the ABAII Academy, attracted over 200 officials. The program aims to strongly promote the adoption of AI and Blockchain, laying a solid foundation for the province’s digital transformation process.
On September 30, 2024, in Kon Tum province, the program “Raising Awareness and Providing Strategic Guidance on Digital Transformation for Leaders at All Levels,” taught by lecturers from the Academy of Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence Innovation, attracted nearly 200 leaders from various levels currently working in Kon Tum. This event was held in response to National Digital Transformation Day, to integrate AI and Blockchain technology into practical applications in daily life and the economy.
At the event, Mr. Nguyễn Đức Long, Director of Digital Transformation at the ABAII Academy, stated: “AI and Blockchain are not just emerging technologies, but tools capable of revolutionizing how we work and conduct business. In Vietnam, particularly in areas like Kon Tum, adopting AI will enhance management efficiency, optimize production processes, and create new opportunities for businesses and the local population.”
Mr. Long also pointed out that Blockchain technology can enhance transparency in managing agricultural supply chains, which is one of Kon Tum’s key economic sectors. For products like coffee, rubber, and pepper, Blockchain can track the entire process from production to consumption, ensuring transparency and increasing consumer trust. This is a practical solution to expand the market for the province’s products through e-commerce platforms.
Additionally, AI technology offers significant potential in managing natural resources, particularly forests and land. AI algorithms can analyze satellite images and weather data to improve resource management, provide more accurate crop forecasts, and optimize resource usage. These solutions increase productivity and reduce costs, contributing to sustainable economic benefits.
At the event, Mr. Nguyễn Văn Tiệp, Deputy Director of Training at the ABAII Academy, further discussed the applications of AI in administrative work. Mr. Tiệp stated, “We are entering an era where AI can automate many processes in government management, from handling petitions to analyzing big data. AI tools such as Generative AI will help reduce working time, optimize decision-making processes, and improve work efficiency. The key is to thoroughly prepare in terms of human resources and infrastructure to effectively apply this technology.”
The AI popularization program in Kon Tum not only focuses on imparting knowledge but also aims to build a workforce proficient in using new technologies. The ABAII Institute is targeting the training and dissemination of AI knowledge to 1 million Vietnamese, including 100,000 students at a minimum of 30 universities nationwide. This is part of the Institute’s long-term strategy to develop a team of technology experts, helping Vietnam maintain its competitiveness in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
According to a report from Grand View Research, the global Blockchain market is expected to reach nearly $164 billion by 2029, while AI is anticipated to experience significant growth, from $200 billion in 2023 to over $1.8 trillion by 2030, with an annual growth rate of 28.46%, according to McKinsey. This indicates strong global investment in AI and Blockchain, reflecting the immense potential these two technologies offer to various industries.
Mr. Nguyễn Văn Tiệp also emphasized the role of Generative AI—a form of AI that generates content—in supporting administrative tasks and government management. Generative AI can create new content such as text, images, and videos based on existing data, enhancing document processing efficiency, report creation, and data analysis. This helps minimize errors, optimize resources, and increase transparency in administrative operations.
This event is part of the ABAII Academy’s series of activities promoting digital transformation nationwide. Previous programs include “AI Applications in Administrative Work” at the Government Office, an AI introduction conference with the Central Internal Affairs Commission, and collaborations with the Cipher Information Technology Center, Central Office of the Communist Party. Through these initiatives, the ABAII Academy aims to help localities like Kon Tum easily access AI and Blockchain technologies, creating sustainable development opportunities in the digitalization era.
Continuing the series of digital transformation events in Kon Tum Province, on October 1, 2024, representatives from the ABAII Institute also participated in the province’s workshop titled “Popularizing Digital Infrastructure and Innovating Digital Applications for Economic Development – A New Driver for Economic Growth and Labor Productivity.” This event allowed technology enterprises, including the ABAII Academy, to exchange experiences and discuss new technological solutions to support Kon Tum’s digital transformation process.
