On July 24, 2024, the Vietnam Blockchain Association welcomed a delegation from the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Office for a visit and training session on AI application in administrative work at the Party Committee Office.
Participating in the training session from the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee were Mr. Võ Thanh Hải, Head of the Party Finance Department; Mr. Phạm Đức Sơn, Head of the General Department; Mr. Nguyễn Ngọc Bằng, Deputy Head of the General Department, along with many other representatives from the Party Committee.
On behalf of the Vietnam Blockchain Association (VBA), Mr. Phan Đức Trung, Permanent Vice Chairman, shared: “As a leading organization in blockchain and AI, VBA is always ready to support individuals, organizations, and especially government agencies in applying digital technologies to optimize work processes, thereby increasing productivity and work efficiency.”
Mr. Võ Thanh Hải, Head of the Party Finance Department, stated that the Party Committee has set an early goal of extensively implementing digital transformation and AI applications in administrative work to increase efficiency, save time and costs, and reduce staffing needs while prioritizing information security. He expressed his appreciation and gratitude to VBA for dedicating time and effort to provide in-depth training for the Party Committee’s staff. “This AI application training is meaningful to us, as our current personnel lacks clear expertise in technology, and there are still many limitations in applying new technologies like AI within the Party’s agencies.”
On behalf of the VBA office, Ms. Nguyễn Thị Quỳnh Thi provided a detailed introduction to technologies and applications suitable for administrative work, such as Google Workspace, Salesforce, Slack, and AI applications like ChatGPT and Gemini.
Presenting on the role and features of ChatGPT — an artificial intelligence tool currently garnering much attention — Ms. Nguyễn Thị Hải Yến, Deputy Head of Communications, and Mr. Trần Đình Đức, Head of the Research Group, provided numerous examples of ChatGPT’s unique features, particularly in communication tasks such as editing, information synthesis, and translation. Mr. Đức also pointed out some limitations of ChatGPT and proposed solutions for effectively applying it to work.

Mr. Vũ Vinh, a Salesforce specialist, assisted the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee delegation in experiencing these technologies firsthand, offering specific examples of their use in administrative activities.
