AI Legal Lookup, an application utilizing advanced artificial intelligence technology, has updated over 145,000 legal documents, offering a fast and accurate solution for Vietnamese citizens to access legal information.
On September 21, 2024, as part of the event “Ward 13 and Digital Transformation,” the Academy of Blockchain and AI Innovation (ABAII) held its second training session on the AI Legal Lookup application for residents of Ward 13, Bình Thạnh, Ho Chi Minh City.
The first training session, held on July 8, 2024, garnered significant interest and received positive feedback from the community.
AI Legal Lookup is a non-profit social project jointly researched and developed by the ABAII Institute in collaboration with DecomStars JSC and Nam Ha Law Firm. The project aims to provide modern and convenient access to legal information for both citizens and businesses. In this initiative, ABAII takes responsibility for research and development, DecomStars handles the technology operation, and Nam Ha Law Firm offers legal consultancy and supports communication for the project.
With more than 145,000 legal documents updated in real-time, AI Legal Lookup provides users with an accurate tool for legal research, helping them avoid the risks associated with using expired documents. This application is not only beneficial for individuals without legal expertise but also helps businesses save time when searching for legal regulations.
One of the standout features of AI Legal Lookup is its automatic question-answering capability based on Natural Language Processing (NLP). Instead of manually searching through hundreds of results on engines like Google or Bing, users can ask questions directly in everyday language and receive accurate, context-based answers. This makes legal research easier than ever before.
The application also integrates intelligent AI, automating the process of legal consultation and research, saving time, and enhancing work efficiency. Another key advantage is its flexible customization capabilities, allowing users to tailor search results based on criteria such as field, document type, or validity period.
In terms of security, AI Legal Lookup is committed to safeguarding user data and personal information through strict security standards. This is especially important in the digital age, where users are increasingly concerned about protecting their online information.
Another useful feature is the integration of the Zalo Mini App, allowing users to perform legal research directly on the Zalo platform, making access to the service faster and more convenient.
To date, AI Legal Lookup has over 3,000 users, ranging from individuals to businesses. The application not only helps save 70-80% of the time spent on legal research but has also become a reliable legal assistant, effectively solving complex legal issues.
Mr. Tạ Thanh Khiêm, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Committee of Ward 13 remarked: “The implementation of AI Legal Lookup reduces the workload for local officials, while also enabling residents to conveniently and quickly search for administrative procedures and legal regulations. This is a practical application in the digital transformation effort, bringing tangible benefits to both citizens and the government.”
Mr. N. M. Hai, a resident of Ward 13, shared: “In the past, whenever I wanted to learn about business regulations, I had to ask someone to look it up for me or visit the relevant authorities. Now, with the AI Legal Lookup application, I can search for the information right through my phone, which is extremely convenient and fast.”
Ms. Nguyễn Thị Hải Yến, Deputy Head of Communications at the Vietnam Blockchain Association, emphasized: “Although AI Legal Lookup is highly effective in providing legal information and research, users should still verify the information with a lawyer or expert before making important decisions. The information provided by AI is for reference only, and professional legal advice remains necessary to ensure accuracy and protect the user’s legal rights.”
Soon, the ABAII Institute plans to organize more training sessions across various localities in the country, aiming to bring AI Legal Lookup closer to businesses and citizens. This initiative will help improve legal knowledge and support the digital transformation in the legal sector, contributing to the creation of a more transparent and efficient legal environment.
In addition to AI Legal Lookup, the ABAII Institute has been implementing various social projects to promote technology applications in everyday life. A standout project is MasterTeck, Vietnam’s leading online learning platform focused on Blockchain and AI, offering more than 300 courses. The platform targets 24 high-paying career paths, with courses designed and taught by over 120 reputable instructors in Vietnam and internationally. MasterTeck also partners with leading certification organizations such as CompTIA, EC-Council, and PECB, enabling learners from anywhere to earn prestigious international certifications, thus opening up numerous attractive career opportunities.
