On October 20, 2023, the ‘Documentation Space of Tay Nguyen’ was inaugurated at the Information Center of Dalat University’s Library in Lam Dong province.
Mr. Tran Viet Hung, former Deputy Head of the Central Party Office, Senior Advisor to the Vietnam Blockchain Association, and a member of Dalat University’s Council, stated that the establishment of the “Documentation Space of Tay Nguyen” holds significant importance as it lays the foundation for the establishment of a center and research institute focusing on Tay Nguyen at Dalat University.
During the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Phan Duc Trung, Deputy Permanent Chairman of the Vietnam Blockchain Association, presented a collection of books from the Blockchain Bookcase to the Information Center of Dalat University’s Library. The Blockchain Bookshelves was established through collaboration between the Vietnam Blockchain Association and Alpha Books Company. The books in this collection serve as valuable resources on distributed ledger technology, compiled and written by leading experts from the Vietnam Blockchain Association.
Located on the second floor of Dalat University’s Information Center, the “Documentation Space of Tay Nguyen” gathers documents and scientific works related to Tay Nguyen from researchers both domestically and internationally, containing over 1,300 traditional documents and more than 3,000 electronic documents.
The “Documentation Space of Tay Nguyen” inauguration is part of a series of activities commemorating the 65th anniversary of Dalat University’s establishment and development (1958 – 2023). Dr. Le Minh Chien, the Rector of Dalat University, affirmed that the construction of the “Documentation Space of Tay Nguyen”’ contributes to realizing the strategic development goals of the university, supporting research work on the Tay Nguyen region, and providing scientific foundations for devising policies for the overall development of Tay Nguyen.
In the upcoming time, Mr. Tran Viet Hung mentioned his commitment to continue supporting Dalat University in developing additional documentation spaces to cater to a broader audience. This contribution aims to make Dalat University a trusted hub for collecting, connecting, and sharing resources, meeting the research and learning needs of the scientific community, both domestically and internationally.
Before this initiative, the Vietnam Blockchain Association had initiated collaboration with Dalat University to advance training activities from the beginning of 2023. In early October, the association organized a training program titled “Blockchain Technology and Practical Applications” for the university’s faculty and a career orientation seminar for over 500 students on the theme of “Blockchain in Education and Training: Opportunities and Future for Vietnam.”
