On the afternoon of May 16th, in Hanoi, the Information Security Magazine of the Cipher Department under the Government’s Cipher Commission held a meeting with the Academy of Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence Innovation (Vietnam Blockchain Association) to discuss specific collaborative activities for the upcoming period.
Attending the meeting were Mr. Nguyễn Như Tuấn, Editor-in-Chief of Information Security Magazine; Mr. Lê Linh Lương, Deputy Director of the Academy of Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence Innovation; Head of Hanoi Office, Vietnam Blockchain Association; and Ms. Nguyễn Vân Hiền, Deputy Director of the Academy of Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence Innovation; General Secretary of the Vietnam Blockchain Association.
During the meeting, Mr. Nguyễn Như Tuấn emphasized the potential of Blockchain technology and Artificial Intelligence in the future and extended his congratulations on the launch of the Academy of Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence Innovation (ABAII), particularly in the context of the ongoing digital transformation.
He shared that education is a fundamental, key factor that determines the development of a country. The Academy’s decision to focus on popularizing Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence is a wise and humane choice, clearly reflecting its goal of sustainable development. He praised the Academy’s efforts in policy consultation and promoting the dissemination and training of Blockchain and AI knowledge in Vietnam. At the same time, he expressed his desire for the Information Security Magazine to serve as a media sponsor and partner with the Academy in future events related to Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence.
At the meeting, Ms. Nguyễn Vân Hiền emphasized that blockchain and artificial intelligence technologies have ushered in a new technological era, profoundly impacting numerous sectors and industries thanks to their essential features such as security and privacy. These technologies are currently being applied across various fields, including banking and finance, healthcare, sports and entertainment, insurance, and logistics.
Ms. Hiền further stated that the Academy of Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence Innovation aims to educate and popularize blockchain and AI knowledge to one million Vietnamese citizens by 2030. This includes 100,000 students from 30 universities nationwide through various activities such as workshops, training programs, hackathons, ideathons, the Unitour 2024 program for students, and an online legal project to provide legal consultation to the broader community.
As of late April 2024, within just two months, the Unitour program had been successfully organized at five universities: Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics, Da Nang University of Architecture, Banking Academy, and the Posts and Telecommunications Academy of Technology. These events provided valuable knowledge about blockchain and AI applications tailored to the specific needs and interests of each institution.
Ms. Hiền also expressed her hope that in the future, the Information Security Magazine could act as a bridge, facilitating the Academy’s efforts to disseminate blockchain and AI knowledge to students at universities and academies such as the Academy of Cryptography Techniques and the Military Technical Academy. She also suggested connecting experts from the Editorial Board of the magazine’s publications with the Academy to offer consultancy and guidance, ensuring the Academy’s content becomes more practical and comprehensive.
Concluding the meeting, both parties agreed on the working methods, roadmap, and implementation plans for the upcoming period to achieve the best possible results.
