The SelectUSA Investment Summit is a program organized by the US Department of Commerce, with the purpose of supporting business investment in the US. Since its inception, the SelectUSA program has spurred more than $146 billion in investments and created 166,000 jobs in the United States.
SelectUSA 2023, taking place from May 1 – May 4, held in Washington D.C (USA), is considered the largest conference to date, with a record attendance and participation from more than 4,900 attendees, 83 international markets and 55 US states and territories.
When the SelectUSA program was held in APAC to find potential projects in this area, the Vietnam Blockchain Association (VBA) accompanied the program to connect two Vietnamese technology companies, TrustKeys Network and TrustKeys Network. Foodmap attends the Pitching Round in Thailand.

SelectUSA 2023 was attended by President Biden and senior White House officials, White House Secretaries and Deputy Secretaries, US Trade Representative Katherine Tai and Export-Import Bank President Reta Jo Lewis. President Joe Biden delivered a speech to the SelectUSA Summit attendees, sharing his views on investing in American companies for the time being. “There is no country on earth that can match America’s competitive business environment!” he asserted.
At the conference, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said: “The US is very open to business and we hope you choose to invest your time and talent here.”
On this occasion, the US Government announced the TalentUSA initiative – a new intergovernmental initiative to increase federal technical assistance to multinational companies that are starting or expanding operations in the United States and increasing employment. quality work through FDI.
A representative of the Vietnamese Embassy in Washington D.C shared: “In the current efforts of the two countries’ relations, there is a lot of hope for young people. The young people will help upgrade the relationship between the two countries through technology.”
At the end of the program, the Organizing Committee announced that the winner of the Global Pitching Round was LetsData – an enterprise providing artificial intelligence (AI) solutions to predict and navigate risks and opportunities in communication.

In particular, this year SelectUSA marked the first time that P2P seminars and on-site orientation activities for mentees in the Select Global Women in Tech program were organized; There are 190 approved participants in the mentor network.
