Collaboration in research and education with Fulbright University Vietnam

On November 6th, representatives from the Vietnam Blockchain Association (VBA) had a session with Fulbright University Vietnam to discuss plans for collaboration in education and blockchain technology research.

During the meeting, both the Vietnam Blockchain Association (VBA) and Fulbright University Vietnam agreed on focusing their efforts on educational research and technological exploration.

Mr. Phan Duc Trung – Deputy Permanent Chairman of VBA, and Mr. Tran Viet Hung –  Former Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s Office and a senior advisor to VBA, shared the strategic training plan for the period 2024 – 2030, which includes organizing short certificate courses, establishing Blockchain Uni Lab programs at the university, and aiming towards the establishment of a Blockchain Applied Institute.

On the Fulbright University side, Mr. Vu Thanh Tu Anh –  responsible for the public policy training program, and Mr. Phan Chanh Duong, a lecturer, mentioned existing courses on Monetary Policy, Finance, and ongoing research on Fintech development for Ho Chi Minh City. They also engage in policy advising to construct legal frameworks related to finance and technology.

Both parties agreed to collaborate on several activities such as teaching blockchain technology, technological research, and policy consultation through events like seminars and forums targeting both faculty members and students.

They could share teaching materials, collaborate on research into blockchain use cases to incorporate into course outlines, and VBA experts could conduct lectures on blockchain technology at the university.

The first planned activity is a book seminar introducing two books: “The NFT Revolution” and “Metaverse – Virtual Universe and the Revolution of Everything” to provide Fulbright students with an understanding of basic concepts in applying blockchain technology and to provide additional research materials. These are two publications from the Blockchain Library, a collaboration between VBA and Alpha Books.
